Roland is a leader in the research, development and manufacture of electronic musical instruments, music technology and music education.Roland has been manufacturing quality musical instruments for 40 years. During this time, there have been many innovative breakthroughs that have made millions of musicians happy.

Roland have a continuing legacy of product "firsts" - the first guitar synthesizer, the first programmable rhythm machine, the first touch sensitive keyboard and the first multi effects floor unit - to name but a few. Despite these technological advances, Roland realizes that the purpose of musical equipment is to help players express themselves. Roland provides the technology that supports the art of making music by designing user-friendly equipment.

In 1998 Roland Corporation was listed as a public company on the Tokyo stock exchange. There are over 20 offices around the world including the USA, Canada, Denmark, UK, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Portugal, Switzerland, Taiwan and, of course, Australia. The Australian Head Office was established in 1976, making it the first joint venture outside of Japan.

Roland Rentals was an Australian initiative and was established in 1998, providing people with a simple and affordable way to access the finest quality digital piano. We have now expanded our rental offerings to include a wide range of musical equipment.

During 2012, through an association formed with Australia’s largest rental provider of musical instruments and equipment, Roland Rentals are now provided by The Polygon Group Pty Ltd.
